On their website you can view a 360 degree tours of both the Candy Box training room and the Roktagon Penthouse.
Even better of course- Get yourself over there and put your own hands and feet on it... That's definitely what we'll be doing soon!

New Core Clothing
The clothing section in our web shop is running a little empty, but we have good news! A new clothing range is currently in the making and here's a little preview of what to look forward to:
Rokting out
Just a few months ago the guys at Rokt, the exciting new climbing and extreme sports centre in Brighouse near Huddersfield told us about some of their visionary plans when we went there as part of our
The Face Winter Comping
The Face is the climbing- and bouldering wall in the Wirksworth Leisure Centre, near Matlock.
Awesome effort guys and girls, congratulations, we hope you enjoy your prizes and hopefully see you again next year! Thanks everyone for climbing hard, and a big thanks of course to Tom, Malc and Mark for organising it.
Munich Walls & ISPO 2012
Earlier this week 2 Core delegates nipped over to Munich for a 2-day blast visit, the main reason being the annual ISPO winter tradeshow.
After having shaken many a hand at the show, we visited two of our big German customers: first we paid a visit to the well-established Thalkirchen climbing wall, which has recently been facelifted and expanded. We had a look around and enjoyed a leisurely coffee in the modern cafe, with a view of their outdoor lead wall in snowy surroundings.
When we felt we'd done enough lazing about we hopped on the bus to Boulderwelt, with it's 1400 m2 climbing surface the biggest dedicated bouldering wall in the world. In our opinion the coolest thing about this wall (apart from the little Yeti popping up everywhere to help you find your way) is their symmetrical Core Board. But then we would say that, of course...
Anyway, after a quick session unfortunately it was time for us to make our way back to the airport, have one last beer and hop on the plane.
Back to work!
Looking Back & Forward
Last week the Core team took the afternoon off and drove up to Brighouse to have a little play on the Rokt walls.
So, with our annual Christmas-do over and done with and less than a week of production left before the holidays, it's time for a little bit of reflection: 2011 has been an exciting year for us. We added the Limestone Range and expanded all ranges with Super & Mini Slopers, Small Crimps and Screw-ons. We've started installing matting in bouldering walls and we've moved production into the bigger nextdoor unit. We've opened our online shop, our holds were used in worldcup comps, we suspended a 200 kg Core logo made out of our holds and overall we've grown bigger, better and stronger.
We hope your year has been as rewarding as ours and most of all we hope you're looking forward to 2012 with as much anticipation as we are. Whatever it is you'll be doing, go crush!!
Core Climbing wish you an excellent Christmas and an awesome New Year!

Core is taking over the wo...ermm...estate!
Since we started selling our beautiful babies about 3 years ago, we have sold lots and lots of climbing holds around the world, from Cambridge to Japan.
So here's the exciting news: We've knocked a hole in the wall and moved production into the unit nextdoor. This had been waiting to happen for quite a while, but we were simply to busy doing the important stuff- making your holds...
This weekend we finally did what needed to be done. Production now lives at no. 20, while our "office" and storage remain at no. 21.
Hence safeguarding a happy future filled with exciting new shapes and as an added bonus our lunches will no longer taste of climbing holds, either :)
Core & Comps
Now that the days are getting much shorter and the weather more unpredictable (it certainly is in Sheffield!), many of us tend to retreat into the shelter and (relative) warmth of the indoor walls.
There are some nice pictures indeed and an incomprehensible article here.
Looking ahead and a little more local, we're also a proud sponsor of the Northern Indoor Bouldering League, the first round of which will be held this Saturday the 12th of November at the Climbing Hangar in Liverpool.
Psyched!!!
Holidays and Holds
While all of us are or have been enjoying some time off one way or another (Tim to a wedding in South Africa, Stephen on a half-term family holiday down south and Leo in Font as we speak), we still ma
Mats up north
Not many of you may know that not only do we make great climbing holds, we also provide crash matting for both little and big climbing walls.
Last time we went up there, about a year ago, there was nothing there but a very big empty factory space, how different did it look now!
Well, we'll just let the pictures speak for themselves...
