Core at Outdoor 2011

Last week we returned from what was already our third year of exhibiting at Outdoor.

This year we had our new sets of Super Slopers and Small Crimps for all of our ranges to show off. To make space for this we had to move our giant-logo in-climbing-holds which wowed the crowd last year, out of the stand. Someone thought it'd be an excellent idea to lift the thing and suspend it above the stand an we (stupidly) all agreed.

Little did we know this would prove to be a very difficult, if not dangerous task! The entire thing weighed about 200 kg and even though we'd hired a scissor platform to do the heavy lifting, we still had to somehow get the monster onto the lift, using the power of muscle!
Luckily James Blay (aka The Blade) from Wild Country was around to save the day, he single handedly lifted the entire panel with only one hand, making us all look like little girls ;)

After all that, the show itself was easy. The logo didn't come crashing down on us or any of our innocent visitors and the new products were received well. We made some new friends, both within Europe and beyond and we now have a whole year to recover and think about what crazy thing to do next year...
