Looking Back & Forward

Last week the Core team took the afternoon off and drove up to Brighouse to have a little play on the Rokt walls. If you've never been there, this place is definitely worth a visit- even if only for the novelty experience of climbing into and up a silo! On top of that, the problems are well-set and the holds are absolutely top-notch...as a lot of them are ours and we're not biased at all! ;)
On the main bouldering wall they have a big suspended and slightly wobbly volume which you climb onto, adding to the general excitement of the (pretty tall) athletic climbs, very good fun!!
After this sadly pretty short but nevertheless very entertaining session, we'd worked up quite an appetite and were looking forward to our posh dinner at Barrett's Bistro. Though very tasty, their meals seemed aimed at people with peanut-sized stomachs. Fortunately their oversized puddings (admittedly the best part of any meal!) filled us up right and good, nom nom nom.

So, with our annual Christmas-do over and done with and less than a week of production left before the holidays, it's time for a little bit of reflection: 2011 has been an exciting year for us. We added the Limestone Range and expanded all ranges with Super & Mini Slopers, Small Crimps and Screw-ons. We've started installing matting in bouldering walls and we've moved production into the bigger nextdoor unit. We've opened our online shop, our holds were used in worldcup comps, we suspended a 200 kg Core logo made out of our holds and overall we've grown bigger, better and stronger.
We hope your year has been as rewarding as ours and most of all we hope you're looking forward to 2012 with as much anticipation as we are. Whatever it is you'll be doing, go crush!!

Core Climbing wish you an excellent Christmas and an awesome New Year!
